UTOPIA

Since 2007 UTOPIA has been leading the way on introducing new and innovative events, and Mojo is no exception. The first one, in March 2016, was a sell-out with people claiming it was genuinely the best night dancing they had ever had! This event caters for those who prefer a club feel to their music rather than the more varied music we normally play. This won't suit everyone, but if you love classic club as well as dance and house music, the uptempo section of the evening will be music to your ears and feet. This then segues into 2 further hours, after midnight of the coolest lounge and R&B music we could find.

 

We'll choose the music carefully, so don't worry, there won't be hours of trance or extended 8 minute remixes beat-matched with the next track: tracks will fade or finish just as you would expect at a normal freestyle for partner dancers. And if you want to get down with your own groove, then why not? (Just as long as you keep clear of the main dancing area). With guest DJ Tim Sant representing the youth and resident DJ David Rokov representing the old school, the music mix will at once make you feel both nostalgic at hearing some of the greatest club tracks ever recorded as well as energised by the newest tracks on the scene.

 

Our venue has an awesome bespoke sound a lighting system, and has just had a new wooden floor installed! But we'll also be adding new moving head lights and haze machines to get you into the clubbing spirit.
